Some of you may be familiar with my .dplookup script for the Ij|BoT in #team_ij. I've heard s2k has something similar based on my script. I'm debating writing a script for the IRC client so that you could look people up on dplogin, but also do other things such as search clans, add/delete names, accept clan invites, ect. I'm just curious as to who would use this to see if it's worth the time coding.

don't know how mine can be based off yours when the idea was mine, first, with !dplogin ... then i progressed it with !dpsearch.

Its already made and tons of people use it. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to add more functionality to it like previous clans, dplogin bio, last login, and such. Although, thinking practically, I doubt anyone would care that much to be bothered with all the extra info. I think people mostly want to be able to quickly lookup who they are matching because people have such a penchant for switching their names.

I would be leery about giving my account name and pw to anything just to manage it from irc.

It sends directly to dplogin.com. It would be easy for someone who knew anything about IRC scripting to see if things were being sent anywhere but the website. It's not like I'm giving you a .exe file that you can't see the coding to.

I'm sorry, I was thinking you meant for it to work through the Ij|bot, where people would send their name/pw to that. lol

Probably not a lot of people would use the script. But the people who switch names and clans a lot would use it for sure. And it would help people who hate going onto the internet just to do something on dp, I guess.

I'm talking about a client side script. That you use from YOUR IRC. Not run from a bot. This would enable you to actually change things on your dplogin account and manage things instead of just look people up.

crazycooter unless you made a script first be quiet. if ij bot had that script let the person that made it come out and say i HAD IT FIRST!!. like it makes a difference no1 really cares.
