Ok, so I started on my first map and it's pretty basic but I'm just trying to learn the program. So I want to put gun spawn points and make the info_player_deathmatch things team specificYAY LEARNED IT!!! but I dont really see how I would do this... Anyhelp would be very much appreciated, thanks!

Some more:

My maps are real light, how do I make them a bit darker so I can add some actual lights in there. YAY LEARNED IT!

The textures are all weird. I probaly F-ed myself over by importing all those textures Jits said to import from Quake 2 AND the textures from my DP2 texture folder, lol... Help?

How do I make water blocks turn into actual water/paint puddles.... So easy this program is, yet clouded is my future with it...FIGURED IT OUT!

Any other tips would be very much appreciated, thanks again.

Hm I guess I didnt add that file correctly... Ill check again. How do I make ladders? Yeah I just checked and it wasnt installed right. Is there anyway to fix it?

yeah about that........ when i got the textures and crap i go to the box on the left where it says ladder player clip mist crap like that i hit apply as ladder only and it does nothing it goes in and out THATS IT! wtf ? and where can i get more textures sky ground wall and stuff and where you get blocks wedge and spike well... the trianlgle how do you rotate and CRAP? becuase it lays there on it side WTF? jitspoe AND SMOKEY sorry for last post smokey can you all ansewer this? and smokey remember when you enterd that pball game you said my name (VINNE!) and i said (SMOKEY!) wtf happend you just left?

yeah dirty taco alright i checked ladder and i had the textures but the thing is no ladder okay ... and brushes wt heck are talking about okay im stupid so please explain this im 10 and i created this map (not put in dpball yet) its called short siege and its a map with a couple places with a castle and crap but any way no ladder and it says select a object so i dident hit create object yet and it still says that? wtf? okay and can you put a little link to get like lava see threw glass and new stuff there some new stuff but not enough and last but not least how do create water to be water in the game? its like the later but it gives me a paint bucket and hilights the water red WTF MAN?

Rotating brushes usually creates a mess. You should avoid this (except in the case of 90 degree rotations as DT mentioned).

alright.......... how do you make blocks thiner and fatter like you start out with a normal sized block how do you make it thiner? and rotateing and excrement how the intercourse do turn it i put rotate and 90 but what does it DO NOTHING! wtf is what im SAYING just one more thing WC SUXS! im tired of being cofused plzzz help me im not angey at nobody JUST TIRED!

sorry BAD post let me referr that how do you make blocks or anything for that matter fatter or thiner and how do rotate a object i use the mouse brush thing but i set it for rotate and 90 degrees but NOTHING HAPPENS wtf! man am i ticked at wc it sucks Butt

Then use BSP.

There should be an option somewhere to set the grid size so you can make smaller objects.
