epic jumping?

ive played this game since around '09 and i cant seem to figure out how people make these huge jumps from a short distance



how do people do this? i would like to know the secrets :O

it's called strafe jumping. search for that term on these forums or on google for more info.

The secret to this game is practice. The only person that was good from the first time they ever played was Henrod.

how about the faster than the flash running and extreme loooong jumps? I have noticed that a few games, where the opposite team can get our flag and return it within 8 to 10 seconds on a nice sized map.

This is mainly done by linking jumps/ramps. Once you start moving faster and learn how to control your jumps you will start "accidentally" hitting other spots which will continue your movement.
