Paintball 2 Crashes

When i try to play paintball 2 the game crashes right when i start the game up. I have tryed running as asdriminator and changing compatability to windows xp sp2 but still nothing works. please help!
specs:
display adapter: nvidia GeForce 5200 FX
operating system: windows vista home premium sp2
ram: 2.00 GB
system type: 32-bit
processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+
(yes im on a desktop computer)

Try installing newest drivers to video card. And check if other OpenGL games work (like warsaw or quake2).

Also for some reason i had to install the older version for my driver because it said for my driver that the version was 96.86 and i have to update to 96.85 and paintball 2 works. I don't really get that.

Well, i don't recomend to install older drivers, as they might be more unstable etc. , but if you have no performance issues... for paintball everything <3.

It could be something simple as playing at the wrong resolution or something. I used to crash with the same error messages but muggins told me to just play at full screen and poof it stopped giving the error.
