http://russos.livejournal.com/909334.html - an aluminum processing factory, if you're looking for some industrial inspiration... Too bad it's not feasible to put that kind of detail in Paintball2 yet.

Always wanted to see a glacier map. Kind of reminds me of kldsjump if anyone knows them.

I believe those are hot springs, not glaciers.

In the summer I went on a holiday (vacation) in Germany and the Czech Republic. The Prague metro system inspired me to make a metro map. Starting work on it soon.

Do you guys think this will make a good map?

Im not so sure, narrow tunnels are never very good for gameplay to be honest :s i think you would definitely have to include something abit more open like Grand Central Station (http://www.stylewisetrendfoolish.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/grandcentral-station.jpg) as the mid of the map, with tunnels only leading to the bases or something. :)

[My picture was probably a bad example of what it could look like but you get the idea  ;)]

@Misson: I work on a metro map since some weeks, but I think it will never be released. I like the theme too.

@not_payl_obviously I was thinking the mid could be a bit dark, flashing beam lights, maybe?
@wasp I've actually been to New York as well so yeah that sounds good.
@rockitude I have been working on mine for a few weeks also, however I thought it would be easier just to say I am just starting work on it so that I could get feedback on the idea. I will pm you some screenshots if you would like.

Problem with darkish is that:
1. Most people have their brightness set very high up, in fact almost nobody has it set correctly, as game requires.
2. So either you make map very dark to be a little dark for most people and dark as excrement for people who set their brightness correctly, or you can make it correct dark for few people, and bright for most.

So i would generally advise against darkness, it won't look good either way now.

Yeah. Hot springs, but in a glacial / arctic environment.

Lol kldsjump omg. Some of these things would be great. Only if DP could handle higher quality maps and textures. & and all that stuff.
