ok so i really haven't made a map in a few years. i have some in progress maps such as ub_columbia and ub_abbey but i also have a second ub_rooftop map that i was working on back in 2003.

i am gonna have all custom textures in this map. so that means dont alter my hr4 folder or you in big trouble!!! =]

also i will be releasing this as a .pak file so it will be easier to distribute. hope pak file is still supported in digitalpaint

oh also before i forget to mention. when i made the original ub_rooftop and all my other maps like ub_cliff we didnt have speed servers just 60 second re spawn ... so ill be fixing the spawns lol

Please make an own texture folder. Like you said, it looks ugly with the normal new hr4 textures.

I don't know why it would be easier, but pak files are supported (for the client; i've never tested, if the download from a server works correctly).

i just started working on it again recently its not done that screenshot is a work in progress. you dont get to play with my work in progresses.

paintball2\pball\textures\ub_rooftop2\ & paintball2\pball\textures\ub_rooftop2\hr4\ also have my own sounds folder and scripts and env

but i will all have it in a ub_rooftop2.pak inside paintball2\pball\ub_rooftop2.pak

im not new to the game man =] been here since 1998

Is this map based on ub_rooftop or based on ub_rooftop2k4?

Yes, i know. But the version from irc has a lot from the pball textures folder and that looks ... with the new hr4 textures. There is almost nothing like in the picture from the first post.


@ Chef-Killer: The irc version looked like ub_rooftop2k4 + new stuff. But i'm not sure atm, if that was the real ub_rooftop2.

new base layout on the inside. the flag now sits in the back corner. i havnt decided if im also gonna make that the cap spot yet.

edit*

imma have 3 specific spawns outside the base to counter-spawn camping =]

but as of now on this version of the map its no longer a straight line of spawn points they are spread out in the flag room on first and second floor.

but it also makes the map look at least 5 times better

i use the highest quality textures i can find for hr4
