This would've served much better in a PM to Jitspoe instead of as a public note to every stupid person who wants to try it out. Remove this topic?

Thanks for reporting this, but in the future, if anybody has some kind of exploit to report -- especially if it can be used as a cheat or to crash servers -- report it to me directly either through a PM or email.

I actually caught one of the EV1 servers crashing because of this and worked on a fix this weekend.  I was unsure how to reproduce the crash, though, so this should help.

come on this has been around for like 6 years and it has probably been me who crashed the server (as said tried it on 2-3 servers)

that has been fixed in R1Q2 (or how the secure quake2 client is called) and in quake2ace and all the others :-)

im sorry that i did not PM but i dont know who is responsible and i just wanted to report it without registering 50 times and reading 5000 forum entries (im not a forum guy)

sorry for any troubles caused

I am just suprised you posted it, are you trying to ruin a perfect game ? Well ...a very well built game. You could have started with the 'Contact' option that appears on most web sites. Oh well, water under a bridge and all that. Unlike the others, I thank you!

What Jitspoe failed to mention is that you can pay me to be your forum liason. Doing ZOD's work. Peace out.

You know this would have been more efficient if you had bound them both to the delete key so you could just hold it down.

It's been fixed, but the new version has not been released yet.
