There is a problem when you select a resolution greater than the one on the desktop while not you have it in full screen, the mouse is lost and I have to reboot the game. I prefer a confirmation screen of 7 or 10 seconds to return to the previous setting.

 but  i dont see how that would work with the current menus

Generally, game should display only modes that driver/monitor is actually able to handle. IE no 1920x1080 on 1440x900 LCD.
