**CLOSING REGISTRATIONS AT 40 PLAYERS. ANY PLAYERS WHO REGISTER AFTER WE HIT 40 WILL BE PUT ON A WAITING LIST. IF THERE ARE 8 PEOPLE ON THE WAITING LIST ALL WILL ADDED TO THE LEAGUE.**
Sign-ups will be open from now until 12:00 PM Saturday July 7th. At this point the schedule will be
finalized and new players may only join the tournament if a player who has already registered drops out.
Week one is scheduled to start on Monday July 9th.
Please include the following if you are signing up:
Screenname
Email or other contact information to make organizing matches easier
(If you want to use your email, please use a secondary email.(for your safety =p))
The rules are still subject to change, but here is what we have so far:
GENERAL
- 3v3 and Subs Tournament
- If all 8 players show up the match will be played 4v4
- If fewer than 8 players show up the match will be played 3v3 with subs.
- Each player must play at least one full map. This means you cannot have the same sub for all three maps.
- Individual sign ups
- You will be scheduled to play with and against different people each week.
- One member of each 4 man team will be selected as the "captain"
- Team captains are responsible for organizing matches with their opponents team captain and submitting screen shots of the final score screen to me.
- Official match time will be 2PM EST on Saturdays and Sundays
- If teams can organize well enough on their own the matches can be played at any time throughout the week.
- Screen shots for each map will be submitted to SupermansPub@Live.ca. Only need one per team, not one per player.
- No points will be awarded if you miss your match.
- One or Two matches per week (depending on the number of sign-ups)
- Matches will be best 2 out of 3.
- Maps will be selected with the use of a map pool and "black balling" Map pool is tbd.
- Half way through the season the map pool will change (depending on the number of signups).
- Servers used will be ONLY Supermans & OTB.
- The server to be used will be determined by the players location. For example if there are 4 Euros and 2 Americans the server used will be OTB.
- Each week the "Home Server" will alternate. If there is a problem deciding which server to use the "Home Server" will be used. Example: 3 players from
Brazil, 2 from Germany and 1 from Australia
*** We will NOT be using PAC for this tournament.***
SCORING
- Players will be awarded points based on overall match performance:
Victory = 3 points
Loss = 0 points
OT Loss = 1 point (Overtime loss is if losing team brings match to 3rd map.
MVP = 1 point (The match MVP will be voted on by the admin team)
The top 3 players will be awarded 25$, 15$, 10$ respectively and admin on all Superman servers.
www.SupermansPub.com/spl (still under construction) #SPL is the official IRC channel. I believe Clipz is going to help with an IRC bot. All tournament participants should idle in #SPL to make organizing matches easier.
