So long, people.

As you may know, I'm giving up this cheap low budget game for....

Splat Magazine Renegade Paintball



This game is god compard to this stupid game. Allow me to show you the differences.

DP2

-Annoying HUNH! when you jump
-happy Carbine hand
-You can't have paintballs without a freaking hopper
-Hoppers appear before you have them
-Only out if shot on body

RP

-Only jump sounds when landing and all are different
-Neat good GFX hands
-Always have a hopper
-Don't need stupid process to make a sv
-Animations for climbing and stuff
-Out if shot on gun or body
-When you are eliminated, you don't just disappear, you raise your hand and go to the dead box
-Sprint Feature
-Prone Stance
-Char. Customization
-Guns are known as "markers"
-Depending on what color you are, your glove color is seen
-Great online play
-Single player mode
-Map making mode (No dumb program needed)
-Reload animation


RP (>) DP2. DigitalPaint2 sucks.

k, you will be back. dp has a fun factor that that game dosent. have fun, that game sounds boring as hell.

Yeah, Jitspoe sucks donkey balls for not investing as much time as a full team of paid developers.  I mean come on, our tight knit community needs him to slave away on the one thing we all gravitate towards.  I'm really disappointed, and will be following your lead, Spiegel.  I don't want to miss your quality threads!

Time to part from 600mb+ of imaginative maps, reflective water, and a $0 price tag.

And time to play Renegade Paintball With no piece of crap map downloads, GREAT water GFX, a $9.14 Used (Like New) price tag, real physics engines, and realistic play!

DP2 + Cheap people = Fun!
DP2 + People with money = Sucks
RP + Cheap People = I dont wanna pay!
RP + People with money = Uber 1337

Gun elim enchances the realism of gameplay. Don't make a game about Paintball when you only know 7 guns and what a hopper is.

I've played that before, the entire time I was thinking how DP2 was better. It's far too realistic which does things such as taking away the joys of bhopping, spraying, that wonderous community feel, and most of the maps got boring after awhile. Erhm, well, actually all of them were pretty dull. I could get into the details, but I think you get the idea.

I think Iron's played it before too. Remember that crappy paintball game?

4. Quake 2 sucks. Half Life 2 is where it's at.

Mm-hmm. Because the amount of fun you'll have is proportional to the number of guns you can use. And I believe the gun is inside the bounds of the model, for the most part.

Good lord. Spiegel you are a complete a.ss. What a totally uncalled for thread. First of all, noone cares if you leave cause you're just some 3 week newby. 2nd of all, this game wasnt made to be realistic. Obviously.  I guarantee you that game doesnt have a community like this one does.  You don't know Anything about paintball in the first place. Please, just leave. Dont post again.

a) This game is not meant to imitate real life paintball
2) It is based on an engine that is 9 years old, but modified enough so that it doesn't look near so
tres) It is not a commercial venture

Stop comparing them and go play your new favorite game.

HL2 kicks Q2's ass so bad. I'm pretty sure I don't know why...

edit: eiii, sorry, I meant to say "boxes" -- my one major quirk with DP's Q2ness: the reliance on CPU to handle most rendering, and then the dim wits of qVIS. I shouldn't be complaining though, unless I'd like to get off my arse and take up C++.

If you love it so much why do you keep coming back here?

Sounds to me as if you just want attention. Anyway, I have money and I choose to stay with Digital Paint. I value what Jitspoe has built and plan on sticking with it. Of course it is not for everyone. If it's not for you, leave. Why stick around and wait for some kind of justification or approval. Just go. :P
