Ooh. Wasn't planning on buying until near the end of the month, but that's good to know anyway.

I'm going to order the parts today, so I figured that it'd be good to re-check the prices again... and the video card I had chosen seems to have dissappeared.
Ah well. *switches to secondary option*

Also, with the CPU price drop, I might as well get something better. I've got my eye on this... which has a combo deal with this... which looks like a good motherboard.

I also decided not to get the case over newegg, I'll just go to Fry's and save myself the shipping fee.

EDIT: Power supply gone too. Sheesh. Going with this.
CD/DVD also gone... I'mma get this.

EDIT AGAIN: After all that, price down to $985. Anything I should see if I can improve $15 on? ;)
It's now down to $970. Is there anything I have here that's sub-par and I should improve?

(Parts list out of date =D )

Strange, I looked for 7900GT's, and saw an XFX in the list for about $50 less: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2000380048+1305520548+106790717+1067920129&Submit=ENE&Subcategory=48

Not sure where you found the $300 one.

Those two are actually the same price, with the $300 one having a $30 mail in rebate, but yeah. Lol, overall, that one is $5 more. On a side note, I found one that has a one day sale today. And I'm buying it today, soooooo...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150150

Down to $959. Awesome.

EDIT: Parts ordered about 3 hours ago. Yay!
EDIT 2: So, now that the parts are coming I have to get the case. So, should I make sure everything will fit, or will most cases just work?

I would go with the 7950, and probably an AMD athlon 4800+ with 2 gbs of ram, a biostar mb, then 2 500gb sata2 drives...

Hope you enjoyed your 12 hours of eiii-freeness, Dpball forums.

EDIT: Runs BF2 (Demo, at least) on highest settings at a smooth rate. TM Nations looks reeeeeally good.

Since the topic is back up, in my previous post, that PSU, don't buy it.

Spook, you shoulda seen Default get freakin owned by that thing, I saw the blue electricity hit him.

You bought it? Return it while you can, lol. The wire inside it for the ground melted, so I'm told, which is why it started electricuting people... it was poor quality too, the labels on it were upside down, and the 4 fans in the thing rubbed wires in the PSU case.

Alright, Spook, gonna need you to back me up on this one, you're gonna need to get confirmation from Default that it zapped the excrement outa him.

<--edit-->
Just picked up a 500w Ultra X2-Connect PSU from TigerDirect today, works fine, and nobody gets zapped anymore. There is also no smoke coming out of my machine. The Ultra Lifetime Warranty makes me feel all warm and cozy too.
