The crosshair is not where the paintball hits, even right at an object. See attachmented screenshot.

no its becasue you have your gun right handed.

If you do "hand 2" in console your gun will be in the "middle". Then try it again ;)

IT'S A BREAKTHROUGH! WE ALL WONDERED WHY OUR PAINT NEVER HIT, AND NOW SOMEONE HAS FINALLY DISCOVERED WHY!!

Thank you, kind sir, for doing something none of us could or would do before.

Also, yes, I am in a bad mood.

Its also because you use the blue Clearlooks theme by schmoove in Windows XP, so the game doesn't like you, its telling you to run linux.

rofl, wtf? No I didn't. and FYI, both CaBo0sE and vt102k installed it out of their own free will. Vt installed it because one day windows didn't know what to open .exe files with, and CaBo0sE installed it because he wanted the XGL/Compiz cube so bad.
I have to admit that the theme ain't bad, but bb4win still pwnz.

mcandre, I've made a right-sided crosshair before just for kicks, it's never accurate though, so yeah, go with "hand 2".

Don't make fun of newbs -.-
I can remember my surprise when I first discovered that :)
if you are really willing to put in a lot of effort, you can even create custom crosshairs with some offset, and change them according to the hand you are using etc.

Like I said, I was in a bad mood.

The problem with the whole crosshair offset thing is that the balls are much more on-target at a longer distance.
