While that's a fair point, having simple MD5 checksum would resolve that (MD5 taken from dplogin website that is).

But no, he couldn't inject files, if you mean by that the correct meaning of injecting. He could add files to the setup yes, but he couldn't inject files into paintball (the way most of the hacks work), because injecting means 'modifying' a running executable.

It's always about who you trust. There are a lot of other people who host things you have to trust (otb also hosts these files, there are some "mods" (bono, open war), html's DPMusic, even for playing on a server you have to trust the serverowner to a certain extent). Maybe jitspoe should add a list of current filehashes to the downloads page. Sourceforge shows MD5 and SHA1 hashes for each file, so hashes could be taken from there.

@MON1TOR: Since the F.A.Q. ask for mirrors it's nice that you do this. I would recommend you to keep the original filenames instead of shortening them so everyone knows what these files are.

he could replace something from the .dll files from pball !!!

prozo you could inject sth via replacing some of the orginal code from the dlls (mabye not files)^^^or just deleting sth (via replacing)   its not that hard lel

I would venture a guess that he would really love it if someone could set up a mirror that uses rsync to stay up-to-date rather than someone manually downloading and uploading the fiels to their server when they are released.

Also, jitspoe doesn't currently use Git, so no need to worry about that. Plus, mirroring files has nothing to do with Git or any other version control system.

No I just took some Images from your server (like mapshots) and ur server was down and they missed. And that looked ultra-uggly. Also, the fileserver still does exist, I just re-made my site.
