IRC channel for ppl seeking clans and vise versa

What do you think about me making a channel where clans that need to recruit ppl can go and ppl that want to get on a clan can go to see which clans are recruiting?

That being one of many features on a general clan/matching website would be best.  I'll start one, it just wont look pretty or anything.  The content will be tip-top though.  A channel is ok too, but the problem with doing anything like this is that it isnt static.  You only know about things that happen when you are there.  If you have a website, you can just post that you are a clan looking for new members, or are a person who is looking for a clan, and its static.. its always no matter when someone else sees it.  Maybe this could be something the newly formed committee can work on since this is in that area.

Asking around on IRC is not a good way to join a clan. I think you should PM everyone on IRC who wants to join a clan and tell them:

"D00d, wtfguy. You are not going to join a good clan by asking around on chatrooms. Rather, play good people online and get to know them. Then find out where they hang out on IRC and hang with them. If you are good friends and you're a good player, they will ask you to join."

Well... a site wouldent be hard to make... where a person kinda signs up and gives a profile and clans can look at the profiles.. RoyalBlood if your down and need any help msg me or something. Im always on irc.
