I forwarded ports but server wont work

Here, i did EVERYTHING I WAS SAPOSE TO DO  and it doesnt work!!!

#1.) Make sure your LAN ip is always 192.168.1.103 (you can bind it to your mac address on the router)
#2.) Make sure that you're running the server properly (didn't mess with the port)
#3.) Make sure there's no firewall or anything blocking dpball2 the app
#4.) Make sure that there's no router/vpn/hardware-firewall between your router and your modem
#5.) What's your ISP? Some get funky with this...

I can barely read your image, but open the ports for TCP, too.

Also, your own server probably won't show up for you, so get another person to test it.  The most likely cause for the problem is a firewall, though.

Paintball 2, port ANYTHING, ideally. It should work. If it doesn't, there's a firewall, or you're doing it wrong.

Open ports for UDP and TCP, just for fun. And make sure the port set in the server config is the same as the one you're forwarding.

C:\PAINTBALL2\pball\configs\server.cfg - add set port 27910 right under the set email option near the top of that config file.  Use that port number or whatever port number you have given permissions to in your router configs.

EXAMPLE:

I had the same problem. You can still connect using iP address right?

Go to www.kissmyip.org then tell someone to try and connect to that IP.

If it's a match server you want, you're fine.
If it's a pub server you want, you're screwed.

is there any other port becides 27910?  because mine dont work either here are the steps i did

1.  On the desktop shortcut put in that string the lauches the server

2.  Configure the myserver.cfg

3.  Foward port 27910

4.  lauch

5.  I am able to join from my LAN but dont see it on the global list program in the games system folder neither my freiends dont see it either

make sure that your server is a public server and not a private one in the config file.

set sv_minclientbuild 14 // minimum version a client must have to connect
set public 1 // set to 0 if you don't want this on the public server list
set password "" // Password required to connect

He has public set, because his ip shows up on http://dpball.com/serverlist.php .

Actually, it shows up in the serverlist for me, and I can connect:

Hm...that last line,

setmaster q2master.planetquake.com

What happens if that is not there? It wasn't in mine, could that be the problem? But if so why was it sending a heartbeat?

anyway I added the port line hopefully it helps.

The "setmaster" command is so it will show up on the old Quake2 master server lists.  Programs like ASE, GameSpy, and HLSW use this.
