lmfao, he was joking...clearly just pissed off at Smokey causing trouble with you. You kissed up to skater enough for him to say that...good try though, kid. I advise that you stop arguing about this, it's way off topic, and I'm sure it's going to be deleted. Anyway, on the actual topic, I think that you should reconsider the money factor...it would be cool, but not everyone is going to pay money to play in a tournament. Then again, I'm just a broke tightwad, so it may be just me.

i would´nt pay, the reason itself is`nt that i could`nt afford it or anything, but why would i want to win in a game which i play only for fun? Should that money make things interesting or something? To me, no.
I would like to name some maps too:
overrun
midnight
hunt
warhouse
encounter

Hunt and warhouse are with big questionmark.

Anyways, good luck tom. Don't count Europeans out! any idea how long would those tourneys last? Approximately.

There is so many things I want to say about so many posts in this thread. However, I will just save my time and a temp-ban and simply say that this is a bad idea. Any tournament under 4v4 is pointless and boring.

In my opinion, 2v2 tournaments work out quite well, much better indeed than any organized 4v4 event, just for the fact that there is more and especially more dedicated participation included. As seen in the good effort for the 4v4 PBCup, there are only 3 or 4 teams that would be willing to play a full season. A 4v4 "tournament" probably couldnt be arranged to be happening on 1 day, so the league was the better idea there.
As for the 2v2 tournaments, I've seen some tournys work out fine, and havent seen a team dropping out early. And while I agree with DirtyTaco that 2v2 gameplay is not as much fun and the maps that fit a 2v2 tournament arent as good as bigger maps, I still think a 2v2 tournament might be quite enjoyable for many players.

Im not talking about a 4v4 tournament that stretches out over weeks like pbcup, im talking about a 2 hour (or however long it takes) tournament.

Actually SkateR, I'd take Bix over Smokey, Jman, Munchies, or you.

aside from the usual kids badmouthing every idea that anyone ever has, i think a series of 2v2 tournaments would be good, it would help the community get to know one another better, improve player skills, and get the community involved in irc and some sorta of organized play.

If it would last like 2 hours, and wouldn't start later than 20GMT, then i think several European clans would want in too. But i think you cant care less about euro teams...

Middle man here. Send me your money. I cover odds and over/under.

I bet Bob and Blitz would crush Y2j and Digi.

Honestly I will pay to see that, if they promise not to quit in writing.
