A little gift from me to you...

Actually ended up looking more like an airport hanger, but oh well.  Might give you some ideas.

I'm getting 403 Forbidden on the last pic.

Thanks for the insight, since your last post I started working on a new texture for the floor, I hope it turns out well.  As for the roof, I did make an arch, and a custom texture to lighten the place.  I think I could have another build done before the end of the school year, which is Friday, so I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks for all the help and insight.
Cheers,
y00tz

Edit:
I know my architecture and textures aren't up to par, but what do you think about the lighting? It's what I really worked on.
Try this link: http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Monaco/photo368846.htm

As for the lighting, it's hard to tell -- In your last screenshot, there's only one light visible.  In the old shots, I like the lights on the wall in the first shot, but not the big white rectangle on the ceiling.  Don't like the cube lights as I mentioned before.

Ah thanks it worked
Yeah your terminal looks really good.
I like the lighting style and the I-beams, I'm going to put both in on my maps.  And yeah I never did like box lights, I just didn't want to do fluorescent.

Thanks,
Mike

Sorry for double post but I wanted this to come up as an uread topic (bump it) I can delete it if it's a problem (in good faith to show I'm not out to raise my post count)

But how can I make transparent glass? I've checked the 66 and 33 and it looks good in bsp but in game it looks like the regular texture.

Thanks
Mike

when you check both 66 and 33 it uses the alpha channel of the texture. So, if the texture does not have a alpha channel, it will be solid in-game.

Jits, what if for a roof, I do the supports, but use a glass texture for the actual ceiling, what do you think?

I know you are asking jits but I think that would look good, more like a futuristic terminal.

I believe some of the images I linked had something like that.  Play around with it and find something that looks cool.

Dang, nice job. Can't wait to play it.
the full installer is abandon ware and you can use the patch so you can use q2 models.

The map doesnt look very...."Paintballish". Would make a brilliant cs map though, or some other fps game of that sort. But Ill keep my final judgment for when i try this map out.

I like the sound of that.  Looks like an excellent map so far.  I'd like to see more indoor maps like this one, even if they aren't places you'd typically paintball in.

You never went paintballing at the airport? You must not be a true paintballer, lol.

New objects like rocks, pills of leaves, knocked over patio sets, computer desks or other normal stuff.

Just some idea's, but im sure your creative and you'll think of something.

He obviously means new types of obstacles in general.  I like the idea, in a way.

Cool thanks.

For anyone tracking progress on this map, I've been working on the community texture package and haven't had a lot of time to work on this.
