Newbie(9) Reserved!?

I've played as newbie(9) in-game for a long time now, and today I found out it's reserved and I cannot register it.  I guess I can still play as it in game since nobody else can register it, but now I'm curious, is newbie(wildcard) reserved? I know the brackets don't count...

Then is Newbie(72) reserved? Anything with newbie in it?

I realize that ACE_Bot, noname, and anything with the word Jitspoe in it are probably reserved or disabled....

newbie[0-9]* is reserved.  If somebody comes in without changing their name, they play as "newbie", when another connects, it's "newbie(1)", "newbie(2)", etc.  So to prevent people from getting kicked, I just reserved everything.  Same with "noname" and some others.

I've never seen a newbie(9) before, and when people see it they always comment.  And newbie(9) seems like the lowliest of newbies, so when I start getting kills people think I'm just some great newbie.

Not to say I'm not a total newbie...
