No one can get in.
« on: June 28, 2007, 09:21:05 AM »
I got my server and I can get in, it shows up on server listings for me and I can get in connecting with my I.P.  But, no one else can get in using my I.P. and I don't believe they can see it on server listings.  If anyone can help me solve this problem please repost here.  My I.P. is 192.168.1.130 and if anyone wants to check server listings for it its called Flip's Server.  I will see if anyone gets in.

That seems to be your network IP, not a "public" or "global" IP.  You probably need to open a port in your firewall.  Try 27910.

To find the IP that other people would use to connect go to http://www.ipchicken.com.

its your router, flip. no one can get in bcuz of that thing you have under your desk that we plugged your 360 into... you would have to have the network cable run directly from your cable modem to your computer, which would piss your dad off, bcuz then he couldnt connect with his computer... theres a way to set it up so it works the way you have it, but i dont know how. thats why i have to take my internet cable to my computer and out of the router i have my xbox hooked up to...

Forward your ports. UDP 27910. Find your router on that site and select Quake 2 (uses the same port).
