Hey Jits.. I see your plenty busy.. maybe these guys can help :D

https://getfriday.com/index.php

They are a team of ppl to help you 'get friday'. I heard a radio station talk about their service (one of the host actually used the service) and was suprised at how cheap they charge for what they actually do ;)

BTW did you miss me? still got those DPII Tshirts? i need a new one :\

Hmm...
* jitspoe sends them the feature request list. ;)

An interesting concept.  Unfortunately most of the tasks I have like that require things like bank account passwords, SSN, etc.  Things I wouldn't give to other people. :P

On topic:

I've just put up the linux build 23 files.  I still need to make an official release.  Looks like vwep is the next big thing to work on.

Yes, looks good.

But pls not a new build only with this feature. Make a real BIG build, with a lot of features, tweaks and bugfixes :)

No thanks, I'd prefer multiple small builds.....

Not 10 years :)

Make more pretest builds. Build 24 pretest 1 with vwep, pretest 2 with a second feature/tweak/bugfix, pretest 3 with the next one,...
And if u have enough things together, make a good and big build 24 final.

What was the optimation, u removed in the build 20a linuxserver because there are too much lags? Maybe fix it and bring it back?
Is it normal, that our logfile is full of something like this?:
Code: [Select]
[22:29:02] Info string length exceeded \location\Berlin, Germany\e-mail\info@OTB-Clan.de\admin\T3RR0R15T, Chef-Killer, prince\website\http://www.OTB-Clan.de\pb\!1!4!5!7!9!12!13!14!15!16!20!23!24\pr\!0!2!3!6!8!10!11!17!18!19!21!22\mapname\anubis\TimeLeft\17:23\_scores\Red:10 Blue:10 \gamename\Digital Paint Paintball 2 v1.912(160)\gameversion\DPPB2 v1.912(160)\elim\5\needpass\0\gamedate\Jul  2 2008\hostname\[OTB] Speed - www.OTB-Clan.de\protocol\34\timelimit\20\fraglimit\50\version\2.00 i386 Jul  2 2008 Linux (23)\gamedir\pball\game\pball -- maxclients -- 32
It comes in the logfile sometimes? everytime? a player click at the server in the standalone serverbrowser. How can i turn it off? It shouldn't be logged in my opinion. Nobody needs it :P

What's the difference between build 24 pretest 1, build 24 pretest 2, build 24 pretest 3 and build 24, build 25, build 26?  I don't understand why you keep pushing this.  If there are 20 different versions of build 24 floating around, it makes it impossible to track down bugs and whatnot.  The whole point of a build number is to increment it every time you compile a release.

As for the info string length exceeded, there's just too much data your server is sending out with all the server variables and whatnot.  Maybe cut down the client slots.

I discovered a bug in the blender smd exporter script I found.  I was trying to figure out why the lighting wasn't quite right on the pgp model before I skinned it.  Then I discovered it wasn't the engine code that was wrong, it was the normals on the model.  I've fixed that, but there's another bug in the smd to skm conversion script.  Well, it isn't really a bug, but when it checks if two vertexes are close together, the espilon is too high, so on high-detail models, vertexes that shouldn't be merged together end up being merged, causing holes and other issues.  I'll have to fix that later.  Unfortunately all the vwep models that y00tz set up have the lighting normals issue.  I don't think I'm going to bother fixing that (unless y00tz or somebody else wants to go through and straighten them all out after I release the exporter/converter tool fixes) since I'm going to be making all new weapon models anyway.

It looks like the smd exporter doesn't support bones/animations, either, so I may end up trying to write a direct blender to skm exporter.  Only probem with that is when I try to make skm's with multiple levels of detail (unless I just make them all separate files).

Just the pgp, since there was no pre-existing 3rd person pgp model.  I was just saying I'm not going to bother spending a lot of time getting the old models to look good if I'm just going to make new models.
