Team Jerseys

Just a quick thought, what about making a setup option to upload your own jpg logo to slap on the model's jersey. Would be fun for clans. I clearly remember Liquid Paint having their own jerseys, how was that done?

It's been suggested time, and time, and time again.

You have no idea how hard it would be to securely implement that.

Here's the thing: Teams/clans upload their own images for their own jerseys; therefore, they would not want it to be really noticeable (i.e. neon colors) because then it would give the teams themselves a disadvantage. So, I believe this system can’t be used to cheat.

Never said it wouldn't be possible. In fact, I think it be kinda cool to see that implemented. Go Vote for It. :)

marth was probably thinking that you could have a team jersey  as a giant alpha layer, so you could see thru part of your teamates and thus gain an advantage. One way to counter this is when you set up a clan on the global login system, you could submit your clan "jersey".  And the game could check the in game jersey texture against the one online and if its different it could give that 'modified content error'.  Just my thoughts on this subject...

I was thinking something more along the line of pure black jpg pictures slapped on the players back, so they wouldn't get shot from behind as easily.(not to mention they might put anything they want on it, anything) and if he means the entire jersey, i can imagine hey many blues would be red and vice versa o.o.  though it would be funny seeing a purple in a red vs blue game :P (and i agree with nopyos idea)

The committee can come up with reasonable size and content restrictions. I've already seen this idea used in another game, the uploaded images are only the size of the system tray icons (although we can make it bigger).

It's not a FPS game, It's called NavyField if you want to check it out. Google it for in-game screenshots.
