It happened alot to me I would wait for Jitspoe to explain but I doubt he can fix it,well not doubt but this is q2 specific for me and all q2 mods have this. At least Jitspoe can make sense of what I am trying to explain or mabey.not,  I am hard  to understand.  >:(

I don't know what's causing it at this point.  I usually can't fix something unless I can reproduce it.

I encounter this problem sometimes, too.  I will be playing along, and then all of the sudden I will look up and then look down and start spinning around at like 100 mph.  rofl.

Does your mouse ever act quirky outside of the game?  What OS are you using?

I have never had a problem with my wireless optical mouse outside of the game.  I am using Windows Xp Pro w/ Service Pack 2 on a custom built computer that I built myself.   ;)

Here are the basic specs of the machine:

AMD Athlon Xp 3200+
512 megs DDR PC3200
nVidia nForce 2 Ultra 400 chipset
USB wireless optical mouse and wireless keyboard on separate wireless channels.

Are you running in windowed mode or fullscreen?

Fullscreen at 1024 by 768 at a 60 hz refresh.

BTW jitspoe, I registered for the forums as Burt_Gummer, but for some reason I am having trouble getting the activation email (I have tried 2 different email addresses)

Try running it in windowed mode and see if it still happens.

As for the activation email, it may have been blocked/spam filtered out, or there may be something wrong with the server.  I went ahead and manually activated it.

lol cobo, you had a typo in your email before: homail.com.

At least... I assume that's a typo... o.0

As for the spinning issue, I really have no clue what's going on there, so I posted on quakesrc about it.

Although, maybe it's something completely unrelated to mice -- did you happen to have a joystick or gamepad plugged in that you might have bumped?  Just stabbing in the dark here.

I don't see why it would make a difference if the mouse were optical or not, and I've never seen it happen before...

I saw an 16-wheeler on the road the other day with spinning rims. It was weird.
