The Bloody Rendezvous in Broad Daylight - Deranged

I've been working on this map for.. a little over a month I think.. maybe 6 weeks..

Please find my mistakes :D

Edit: sorry for the less than optimal FPS in the screenshots.. horrible computer.. r_speeds stay below 1600

i like it , i think the low path is pretty big though, but still good

I like the design but I think the map is a little empty. Needs filler, boxes, barrels, ramps, trees, stuff like that.

Keep up the good work, and map the good idea's first!

Other then that, pretty nice map. You could add more ways to switch from low to high, to throw off recon a bit. Also, you could make the jumps more fluid so you don't slam your head against everything. Especially the low to the bd jump.

I like the design but I think the map is a little empty. Needs filler, boxes, barrels, ramps, trees, stuff like that.

Rotate all your wood to make it go the length of the object.

Hmm. You mean in the low with the wood? I kinda rushed that part :X.

Its a nice map. There are some texture mistakes and its a little bit empty.

Maybe a new map for the Speed server?
Make enough spawns...

Lacks detail.  Also the wide open areas that lead to more wide open areas seem odd.  If there are wide open areas at least make them accessible from narrower areas.  Spice it up.

Hmm. I'm confused on what you mean by open areas leading to open areas. it's an open grass with a closed mid to another open grass. both grasses lead to closed mains with closed tunnels to low and an open low below the mid. so far as I see it's a contiguous chain open areas surrounded by closed ones

It'll look much less open in beta 2 with trees, crates, barrels, etc, as well as a few design changes to help mobility on the map.

Its a nice map. There are some texture mistakes and its a little bit empty.

I'd love to see the map played regularly on a speed server :o it would be nice to see it played :),

So far, each base has either 5 or 6 spawns, is that enough?

Make at least 12 and spawn with guns if its for the speed server.

I've attached a demo of some things that could be revised.  The main thing that bothers me is the barrels.  I've uploaded it to the beta server.  I'll PM you the details.

Thanks for the very detailed list of things I need to fix :). I forgot to lock textures before mirroring.. made blue side a mess. And I guess I forgot to do barrel bottoms when changing the textures to blue :P.. The scaled down barrel sides look better.. I should make them all like that.

There is no point to that area except to make it look more like a castle :o.. I might put something there.. not sure what..

The low is indeed huge.. no idea how to fix that without scaling the whole map down >.>

And.. I guess you could call that one of its inspirations >.> (I promise, next time I'll put some originality into it :D)

It shouldn't be, but I kind of messed up my copy of the map file trying to fix issues, and I don't care enough about my first map to fix it. Maybe after I finish my current solo map and the map I'm working on with rimini I'll finally get around to finishing this one :)
