Well there would be no reason to use below 90, unless your Spook.  160 is crazy.

Higher fov seems to allow less mouse movements from high to low shooting at long distance. On a far away target it seems that I don't have to move the mouse up as much but making it more sensitive to how far. However, I don't know if this is just a visual distortion or a physical and visual distortion. The jump point also appears to be more in front of the player with a higher fov. My jumping improved at 120, I really don't care why. 

I don't see the point of arguing if theres a real difference or not. If the distortion helps you play better for some individuals, which is seems to do, then what does it matter if or why.

I normally use 110-125, but for distant targets I zoom to 70-80.

Well I found fov command about 6 months after playing so I was really habituted to use fov 90. Then I chose 100, then 110 - 120 - 130 - 140 - 150 - 155, but I almost couldn´t see players so now I am using 135-140 and I think its ok ;).

i've always used 120, i've tried higher fovs like 140+ but my it made my aim terrible.
