this is a very good point i agree with this but on a side note, i believe that carcoal already got a slap on the wrist a year ago when this took place because he went directly to jit's a day later and told him he just wanted to see what it look like. Its a shame carcaol works too much and doesn't have time to clear things up with the committee and public. i hope the committee can get a reach of him before their decision is made.

Goes to show bias' people have. some community members would NEVER ban uni that long, because they think he is great. While others would love nothing more than to see him gone for a lifetime. And should he commit an offense that is warranted of the latter ruling? You can rest assured those committee members that wouldn't ban him lifetime would come up with something like his map contributions show more effort than other cheaters, etc. While other members may say on a slighter charge, it's time to step it up and get rid of him.

The problem with a publicly elected committee and a private board is that the people have no way of telling who the extremist are and who the sound people are. At least give us the voting records and discussions of given topics of the committee, if you keep it publicly elected. That way when/if reelections come up, people have something to base votes off of.

I didn't see you ask what I voted for anywhere... And if you mean on IRC my PC probably restarted before I saw it.

I voted 1024, not cause I feel you should get 1024, but because it keeps the count close. Frankly, if Carcoal is getting banned for hacking years ago, I feel it sets the standard you should get banned for 32 days, or however many he got banned for. Had carcoal not been banned, then I would definitely say no ban for you, but a standard has been set by someone to ban people for hacking years ago.

From what I gather there shouldn't even be a poll for this. You're either banned like carcoal for the same amount of time, or you're not banned and neither is carcoal. The committee didn't vote for carcoal, Jitspoe just upright banned him for 32 days.

The options should be.

A) The topic should be banned for offenses done in the past.

B) Shouldn't be a poll for this and you should just be banned.

C) Don't be banned and carcoals lifted.
