After running through this map I have to say that it is a very solid first map.

A few critiques:
-The bases should have the same things in them
-A few texturing errors that I already showed you

I hope to see you fix the errors and successfully release this map. :)

wow, you need to learn to be more patient man, not everyone goes online every single day like you.
The idea was great, but I found that the map was just a bit below average. It basically takes 5 seconds to get across the map without the big jumps, and 10 seconds to strafe jump across, as the "obstructions" don't even "obstruct" you. It's WAAAAAY too easy to line in this map. There is pretty much nothing in the middle to slow the gameplay down a bit. There is basically only one way to go (although that's acceptable), and it's really a "noob-eating" map.

Being inpatient and demanding jits to make this map beta will make one you look bad and make no one want to help you if all your gonna have is an attitude and demanding.

Terrible use of lighting, try to make it look more realistic and flowing.  Textures are overused and misplaced.

Scrap this map and try again.  You learn from experience.

of course...

by the looks of the misaligned textures, I'd say start a new map (and follow queenie's advice). Churn out a new, polished map where you can't find any errors, give it to a member to test for you, fix any errors, be patient, and then put it on the forums.. Be very critical of yourself!

I don't think sand can hold up a wall like that anyway.
I hope you guys know that Nick will definitely not keep updating this map. Instead, go see the remake. *Nudge nudge, wink wink

I've attached a demo of things that need revising, though I think Rick pointed most of them out.  I've also uploaded the map to the beta server for play testing, but it looks like it's only half finished (the yellow side is missing all the ladders and things that the red side has).

Edit: Another thing I forgot to mention in the demo.  The sand texture, by default, has phong shading.  When it's used on, walls as you've used it, you really don't want that.  You should set the value to 0 on all the sand brushes.
