LOL

Nothing funny about that. Ignoring the graphics, it has everything a good mmorpg should have. Huge variety of skills and quests, big weapon selection, big spell selection, a huge world, plus it's free. Although P2P members get far more, free players do get quite a bit considering it's free. I highly doubt that over 9 million members would join if it was as bad as you make it out to be.

Just wondering, what do you find so utterly hilarious about Runescape being a good game (until you get bored of it, like I did with this game) and what sets it apart from the other mmorpgs which follow the same format, but are either P2P or have slightly better graphics? Not much, so why do you hate it so much?

Runescape made an HD version, with way better graphics. I find it pretty fun when no one from my clan is on paintball. :D

Also fun: watching paint dry.

It is funny because some people actually like it. :D
Actually, it isn't TOO bad, but I don't like the movement, that should be arrow keys or something, really hard with the mouse, if that improved the game would be a lot better.

Everyone so jumped off the topic of this thread. I use to play runescape till it pissed me off. Getting back on topic Privateer the clan i'm in specializes in playing free mmo games. I don't get a chance to play anymore myself but two of the games are Exteel and combatarms. For clips of the game play and action best to check out xfire. Also that's a good way to find free games to play, helped me out when i was searching for some.

there's a gamestyle for anyone in that game though, whether it be specific gun maps, bunny hopping servers (basically a jump server) surfing, mini games, jail break, zombie, gungame. It's there.

That's good to know.

Right, here's a list of some free games which you should take a look at:

Gunz - 3rd person sword fighter thing.
Enemy Territory - WW2 FPS
Toribash - Physics fighting game
Urban Terror - Random FPS

These are some popular ones, google them if you're interested

I'll never forget the day I was trying to run the kids out of the computer lab after school, and I told em like 3 times to save their work and get off. Well this one kid was playing Runescape and apparently didn't hear me telling everyone to save and leave. So I start the lab shutdown, and he was in the middle of a battle. His character lost and he lost all his money, and he was almost in tears. I almost felt bad, but it was just too funny.
