Why do people do it? I've kicked and temporary banned several players today for doing it, it's really pissing me off.

I'm going to password protect the join command and make the password available on the server webpage along with an explanation as to why I've done it. I hate doing that but it ruins the game.

But the serious gamers in our community follow whatever xbain wants. And he prefered hud indicators for flag and stuff like that.

I'm not sure that entirely fixes it, what about the situation when the losing side outnumber the winniing side? I think it should be based on score, you should only be allowed change to the losing team.

The players just need a better attitude. I join a game, say as red, both teams have the same amount of players and red is winning 20 to 3, I purposely switch to blue, the losing team! I like to try to balance it and take the challenge. I really don't know what you can do to fix this except keep banning.

Wasn't there used autobalance on some server?

btw I like when many people switch to the winning team, because I can switch to the losing one and play against more players

Newbies allways do it ... why? because, they want to play with better players, and wins (Often newbies comes to my team

its really great when some newbies joining the winnerteam, you should just join the losing team and get some easy kills

I really prefer to play in a short-handed team on pub

ironfist was running a server to test some scripts out, including an autobalance function. cant say what happened to the scripts or the server, seems to have disappeared during my brief absence.

Problem sorted. I introduced a cron job that puts up regular messages, one of which says:

Console: Please don't keep changing to the winning team or you'll be banned

I haven't had to ban anyone yet
