I have a few ideas how to move on..

Ideas:
- google players map
- screens gallery
- redesign this web 'template' (i mean all dp sites without forum)
- localstats gallery (small file in your pball/profiles/)
- new offic map pack, textures, models, sounds packs
- demo gallery (already exists)
- new server banners(server status) - for clans/players webs
- new players banners(connect to dplogin.com - his info + server status, if he's online) - for clans/players webs
- online server browser (it was in thisrealm.xxxx - no more active)
- multilanguage web? (english,germany,czech,poland..)
- recruit redactors - more news, reportage, interview
- more adverts? (google?)
- social sites connect (facebook,twitter,etc)
- offic t-shirts?

The 1st feature vote on list was suggested on January 06, 2008.. If this improvement will get implemented until this year's end, then the making would take 3 years.

Is there even reason to try to suggest something when the implementing time is 2+ years at best?

There was a thread that someone started before, it got nowhere really other than a different type of theme for the website and a few thumbs up. The community has to do stuff round here, and even when stuff like this is done and the community like it's never added.

Really need to get some better maps made... I have some ideas on a system for submitting, play testing, approving maps, but that's another topic.

Don't see the point when there's a standalone server browser.  That's easier than opening a web page.

I'm not much one to hold grudges, but I hate google adsense.  Apparently I can't use them anymore now even if I want to because somebody was clicking on ads repeatedly.

So why don't you implement it?  It's open sourced.

Someone made these before, but I think the server went down.  Its basically a dynamic signature image that displays the server a player is playing on, if he is online, etc.  Same basic idea for the servers too.

Same like a picture gallery. The site where you can send the "file" and on detail each player could be some statistics or graph maybe. According to the sent date.

I can make a web like http://www.banterous.co.uk/, everyone can send a localstats.file.. What do you mean? At the first point for informations. Then we'll see.

The scheme and look of the website is fine, it just needs to be a little more user friendly, and kept updated.

-On the landing page (news) there should be a graphic button linking to the latest download of the game, along with maybe a video that someone has made. I've seen dp introduction videos before.  (maybe also a 'getting started' link, to help with setup, and explaining gameplay)

-The Screenshots link should really be changed to media, and be updated with new build ss's, some of the users' youtube videos, and maybe wallpapers, etc.

-The Downloads page is pretty long, and should only include the 2-3 most past recent builds, under that it should just include an "Archive" link to all the older downloads.

-Docs/FAQS just needs some updated links, maybe add some more also.

-Contact needs updated.

-Feature vote needs an introduction for those that are new to it, so they know how to use it.

-The Links page needs updated.

(and when I say updated for these things, I mean kept up to date also  )

It's all pretty simple stuff that would help out the website a lot. Not at all hard to do, just a bit time consuming.

The forum has a great layout, yes it has. But, these gamesites, i really think that this web needs to redesign.
