Ok, i talked to skater and a few others and it seems that this video card is perfect for my pc.

and i have 512 mb of ram. So will it work fine with my pc?

Yeah, it looks like you got what it takes, double-check that you have an open PCI slot though before you go buying something for it.

i know i do. i recived a 256 ati radion something in the mail from a friend of s8n's only to find i dont have a pci-e. so anyone who wants to buy it gimme 5$ plus shipping and the ati is yours.

Smokey, sorry to shatter your hopes, but that Video Card (the FX 5500) is seriously crap.  It has the engine of a FX5200, and isnt much better than that.  The FX-Series was a lot worse than the Geforce4 Ti Series as well, and those are very very old already.  If I were you, I'd not buy anything with an FX5500 in it, no matter what the specs say.

PCI cards in general probably aren't going to perform that well, so spending big bucks on a high end card for a PCI slot is probably a waste.

Smokey, dont listen to pure, the only games you play are dp and like tremulous. My card now can handle those, so that card will be better. It will be fine

My board lacks an AGP slot, by the end of the year I wouldn't be suprised if all new motherboards lacked an AGP slot.
