Hello I am Reilander. I started this clan in April 2014. I am looking for new recruits. I'm even accepting noobs! I hope to have this clan enter a league. But that will be hard. Just tell me if you want to join!
There are a few rules that must be followed(Sadly):
1. Don't teamkill on purpose
2. Don't be a spawn killing douchebag.
3. No hacks/mods.
4. If its clear you're playing with noobs, Be nice.
5. Don't be selfish or try to hog all of the clory for yourself. Because thats how we lose. We need to act as a team
Welcome to Digital Paint: Paintball 2' Forums and competitive clan scene.
Its always great to see new members who are willing to join the clan scene. I know this, because ive been through it, like every player who plays DP in clan scenes. Just a bit of info that might help you out. Im sure that you are proberly aware of basic gameplay, since its based on Quake 2 engine which is unique to other fps games out there. Here are some basic tricks/tips that might help you out, if you dont know these: 1) Strafing

2) Basic jumping tutorials-

Also a tip from Ranger on how to aim:
AIMING
This is a key thing in this game. If you have got good and stabile internet, this will be your advantage against others and you will be able to enjoy the game more… But if your connection is not that perfect - than it will be your limitation, scoring will be more difficult for you.
How to minimize your limitation and let increase your chances?
1) In many cases is better first shoot and then aim. Simply don´t waste your time by aiming and then shooting.
2) Move your hand faster (you don´t need necessarily to change your mouse sensitivity, just move your hand faster).
3) Keep your hand relaxed, don´t be in a tension. Tension frozes your hand. Tension comes when we "really need to win!".
4) Most people are jumping over the lines. Do your lines rather above than bellow. But also be prepared for your enemy´s crouch.
5) Don´t line too much. Enemy can hear you and then it´s for him much easier to estimate where you probably are. "Be invisible"
6) You can try some easy hand script. For example, this one is mine:
bind "MOUSE1" "+attack"
bind "MOUSE2" "+changer"
bind "MOUSE3" "hand 2"
alias +changer "hand 1"
alias -changer "hand 3"
MOVEMENT
1) When enemy shoots at you at a large distance - don´t move too fast from right to left and from left to right, because there is certain delay in your enemy´s balls which he fired into your direction and it may happen that you would jump into his line.
2) When you encounter enemy, don´t jump immideatelly back to the position from where you came and where the enemy first saw you - you could easilly jump into his shot.
3) Don´t stay at one place too long, change your positions. Don´t do all the time the same things. Be present. For your enemy will be much more difficult to determine where you are and where you will be.
4) Watch your back for campers.
5) Remember that you have a time, you don´t have to rush at all cost, play with your enemy :-)
You can also try visualisation or imagination. Simply imagine that you are going to score this round. (Every our image, thought or conviction is being written into our subconscious mind and subconscious mind then automatically controls our external behavior and action).
Last tip: Do not want to be better than someone else
Of course these videos wont make you a "pro" just by watching this video, it takes years to master Digital Paintball 2's gameplay and at times it may even get frusterating but dont let that get you down. Here are other things that might allow your clan to thrive more. In Digital Paintball 2 people tend to use Team Speak 3, Venterilo, Irc to communicate for clan matches. There are alot of pugs that occur as well. Team Speak 3( google it) is a Voice recon, same thing with Venterilo, as for IRC people tend to idle there in either their clan channel or #paintball :
http://digitalpaint.org/irc/index.html connects through Globalgamers.net
Recommended Channels: #Paintball #Prozak (Click on a player i.e. Jitspoe and then click whois to see all the other paintball channels that person is on.)
Just a heads up when reserving Private Match Servers, OTB is an Euro server short for Europe. uR, prozak, Superman's, and cF are all NA server short for North American. When reserving a server you don't need to change any of the settings. Put in the desired password and answer the bot question and you should be fine. They are all based on a fixed setting which is meant for clan matching.
Hope you enjoy this unique game, its extremely fun. One of the most, if not the most, fun game i ever played and I have played a lot of FPS games.
