Mapinfo files are already included for many maps.  The problem is when new maps (or old maps that got overlooked) get put in rotation, there's no mapinfo file for them, so they end up getting grossly over (or under) populated.  With a centralized server for mapinfo data, I can keep it updated when new maps come out so the maps that get played are more appropriate for the number of people currently on the server.

Usually the maker of the map makes a mapinfo file for it, but Jitspoe could push people who release their maps on the forums to make one for it or he could make one.

I third that. Sometimes feedback is hard to get as the mapping forum is basically a post-fight for prime position on the front page.

I don't think "HAX" three hundred times would help a developer much with their map. ;)

5: (Option to) disable colored text in chat - Anarchy, SkateR, Clipz, Waggot, basilo

Jits please add me to the vote for disabling funnames and colored text.

Forget giving the option to disable the funname and color binds. Just take them out completely. Both are annoying and color binds are even worse.
People spam colors along the top of the screen and you can't see when someone grabs the flag or when someone eliminates someone else.
Funnames might be a fun thing to have if people didn't make them so you can't read them.

If I had it my way there would be no colored text, meaning no funname and no color binds.

Also please add me to the centralized map info tally and the more high res textures tally.

Zorch has already done this. Download his menus from here:

I'd rather Jits implement some more advanced stuff into the menu script first. That way I wouldn't need so many menu files.

Yeah it should. The flags flashing are a nice feature for those people who don't like our good friend Leroy Jenkins.
