On a general note with moderation complaints, each post has a "Report to moderator" link at the bottom.  Almost nobody uses it.  I think only 1 or 2 posts were reported in that whole mess.  If somebody says something says something inappropriate or off topic, don't reply and point that out to them, as it will likely just result in a large chain of off-topic replies.  Instead, simply report the post and move on.  If things have gotten really out of hand, PM me on IRC.  That way, I can deal with it immediately, if I'm at my computer.

I don't think its for a lack of noticing the link.  A lot of those people were using the Quote link which is right next to Report to moderator of the next post above it.  That's actually how I first found it. 

I think some people even forget that the more replies means that much more work for the moderator to have to do when they are available.  Everyone feels like they need to get another statement in.  Shame on them!
