+1 for:
I plan to make it so that future clients will have the capability to upload screenshots and have other verification methods.  This way we can ensure people are not falsely accused of cheating.

and

- There will be a primary name and two alternate names.  The primary name will remain the same, but the alternate names can be changed every, say, 2 weeks (in order to allow for clan tags and whatnot).

^^ I independently concluded that would work well, but don't remember if I made a post about it here.

If we don't have a single name, people could (not so easily) change their identities.

Hello, I would like to get Primed grenades deleten!!!!!

Reasons:
1. They are not logical. So jitspoe usually says about some things that they arent logical and excrement (barrels), but how is that logical that you can trigger grens.
2. They dont demand too much skill. Sorry, ive never used those so im not sure if im right person to talk about this. But, as much as i understand, you need 2 binds, 1 to throw gren and 2nd to trigger it. Using 2 binds is not hard and not much skill demanding. But with 2 binds you can kill oppponents around corner, not even knowing they are there.
3. They ruin matchplay. When 1 team decides to camp the flag or routes nearby flag they can easily control whatever area they want by primed grens. By hearing the opponent coming closer they jsut hit the binds and voila.
4. "BUT USING PRIMED GRENS IS A RISK, YOU CAN ALSO KILL URSELF". Yeah right, before you die caused by your own primed gren you have killed 10 enemys with those skill demanding thingies.

No, using primed grenades is like using a grenade in most fpses: You can hold it while it counts down, then throw it when you want. You definitely can't trigger the grenade when you want with a separate button. You just have to time it right.

Maybe learn a bit about what you're talking about before bashing it and saying such mean things. ;)

If everyone votes for that, we can have in-game music, maybe zorch can make a music player menu, and mappers can add many more sound effects and loops without hugely inflating a map's size. I got permission from a band to include one of their songs in a map, but to get decent quality the .wav was 55mb!

So, +1.

And if bounty is implemented, +£5.

It wouldn't take too long to implement either, if my understanding is right.

Here's an engine thought, i think we should have texture blending like in the q3 engine.  the q3 engine can have up 2  different textures on the same polygon, which makes all the areas where two textures collide look really good.  All of the classic Wolfenstein:ET maps show how great terrain looks with texture blending.  This would also require a modified BSP mapping tool though, so that when you put a texture on a polygon it has a texture blend flag on or off.

Cusoman:
Does this cover  what you're talking about?

You can put as many textures on a surface as you want through the use of RScripts (basically simplified Q3 shaders).  You can also make a 1-unit brush with trans33+trans66 on it to add something like graffitti to a wall (I think that's what was done in ub_rooftop).

It most likely covers what i am talking about, but what are rscripts, and are they like metashaders?

+1 for password reset (hanson)

Can't remember if I've voted for this or not, but:

+1 for ignoring specific strings.  For example, if somebody keeps spamming "LoOl" or other stupid binds, you could ignore just that but not everything else they say.  I guess that would probably be part of the client-side swear filter.

Hey long time no see guys, OldSchoolStriker is back.

Hey I was wondering if this thread can be a vote for Alt Codes, like (ØÏÐ §çhøöÏ Š†®îk€®) that name.

I was wondering if jitspoe can put up a system for dp2, where you can make your name like that. Would be cool if this was voted.

+1 for password reset option (godspeed).

ØlÐ §çhøöÏ Š†®îk€®: On the topic of alt codes, something is messed up with your name, so I couldn't reply to your PM.  Could you register a normal name or use your old account, please?
