I just thought of something. How about displaying the map name and game mode at the beginning of each match (in those few seconds before the game actually starts) or during the "Loading" screen? I don't mean a picture or anything, just text. And it would help to be 2x the size for that.

Isn't there already a message key where everyone puts there name and a small phrase, why not just use that?

Hey as I was saying in this thread http://dplogin.com/forums/index.php?topic=5987.msg69003#msg69003 I would like to see a new gamemode maybe like a KOTH but you can carry the flag or a 1-flag but with no teams.

In deathmatch (and maybe Apocalypse's new mode), could there be a number on the HUD that always shows the kill count of the best player? So you don't have to look at the scoreboard all the time...

What does it really matter if you see what the most kills is. Is it really that hard to hit one button for a few seconds.

I vote for the auto record demo feature. That allows you to automatically record your demos of maps you play.

Code:

Code: [Select]
set a b
echo $$$a

should echo $b, but instead it echos $$a.  Maybe fixing that would get what you want?

i mean

Code: [Select]
set a b
echo $$a
should give $b

but echo $$$a
should give c , if
a = b
b = c ;)

$$ prints $, so $$a would print $a.  What do you need this for anyway?  If it's so you can generate thousands of binds with different key combinations, I really don't think that's necessary.  If it's for recon, make use of loc files.  If it's not, spamming binds is just going to be annoying to all the other players out there.

A couple more votes from me:
- Warmup time before round starts / while waiting for other players to join (instead of just being stuck looking at the message, actually let people run around and shoot)
- Don't count down the timer in DM mode when there are no players.

Agreed for sure I hate how that happens because you can't look around well and do things with guns plus it will keep people more entertained.

I ran into this one the other day. Remove the bloody tripping option. A server I was on had that turned on. I hate tripping.

Just join another server. If they want to have tripping on, let them.

I want to bring back an old skewl feature: The ability to drop your gun, hopper, and barrel once the round ends.

It was the only server (I'm stuck behind a proxy). That and the guy was sitting 2 feet from me.

Then just ask him if he could remove tripping from his server.
If he sais no, then there's nothing you can do :P

But what about the people that want tripping? Probably not many, but its nice to have options open to the end user.

Oh here's something I forgot about for a while.
Double sided paint splats.
On the map blitz with the semi-transparent walls, you could obscure the other team's view by painting up the wall.
