I think anywhere Jitspoe wants to host it is great. If he runs DP, and he is running DPCON, then it makes perfect sense to have it in the town he knows, with the location he knows, dealing with the people he knows. He is giving us 6 months notice, and power to select the date. If you want to come then great come. If its too far away, sorry, maybe we will see you next year. The location should not be up for debate, only the date.

Jit, I will actually be on my honeymoon for almost the entire month of July. I will be in Orlando, Charlston and then Myrtle Beach close to when it looks like DPCON will be scheduled for. Depending on the logistics, I will see if I can stop by.

Jit, not to be a bug but I was wondering if we were any closer to a set date and city? I'm not trying to rush these things along but I live in California and the sooner a date and location is set, the cheaper i can get ther. Thx : )

There have only been 2 DPCon's so far.  This will likely be in Charlotte again, but I need to make sure I can find a good location.  Unfortunately the location we had it at last time, which worked out great, isn't there anymore.  Atlantis Gamers lost the lease there.  The new place... well, it's kind of a temporary thing -- they merged with a skate park, but it just wouldn't work out.  I don't know if they'll have a new location by July or not, so I need to scope out some other possibilities.

I'm looking at Netplay: http://www.netplaycafe.com/index.php

Seems like a nice place, but I don't think they let you bring your own computer.

That IS in charlotte. I haven't gotten a reply yet from the email I sent.  I'll have to call them on my lunch break or something.

What does everyone think of having it in Florida instead?  Calrathan should be interning with EA games down there and we might throw in some cool stuff like an EA tour and a trip to Disneyland.
