I thought I already had a profile entry for xfire names.  That shouldn't be a big deal to add.  I've made the profile database pretty flexible.

Also Jitspoe, if you get an hour or so, could you sit down, go through the list, and give us a no bs assessment of what's feasible, and what goes along with the games current direction?

That there isn't feasible. ;)  When stuff works its way to the top, I'll decide if it's worth adding, but I don't really feel like going through that whole list right now.

First, sorry for the double post.

Second, I vote for what Jits is talking about here:

Some day in the distant future, I'd like to make the engine foliage friendly.  By this I mean have different levels of details for trees, bushes, and the like, and turn them into billboards at a distance to conserve polygons, allowing for things like woodsball fields with lots of trees.  I believe Far Cry uses this method.

I could be wrong, but I don't think "new map format" covers that. If so, oops.
Since the game has global login profiles, why don't you add a few extra fields to the database so that people can add relevant information to their profile, such as maybe a field for their Xfire name.  And for clans you could add a field for their VoIP servers (TS etc.) and maybe their DP Server, of course, it's all only relevant if applicable to them.

This way, searching Player X on the GLS would bring up their Xfire name, and searching Clan Y on the clan list would turn up their TS server, if they wanted it public.

What if you have less kills than someone who has 5 times as much kills as you, but he's sitting on the server for ages.  And there is another guy who is 0-25 kills, but has like 100 grabs (3 caps).

Who is the one to be the first on the list???



Talking about caps and time is useless.  This is a FPS and not an IdleRPG.

I believe that faster downloads are already implemented in build 18.

As for the new game mode, other game modes have also been suggested. It would probably be a while before this happened because it will most likely stay pretty low on the feature vote list.
